Responsible Care
Akdeniz Chemson continuously determines sustainability risks and opportunities and improves its performance through international monitoring standards in accordance with the OYAK Sustainability Policy and Strategy.
Sustainability management at Akdeniz Chemson is carried out through the integrated participation of top management, as well as our employees.
We implement the ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management System and undertake all activities responsibly at our facilities. Our production plant in Izmir also has the ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 27001 (Information Security Management) certificates. We consider the health of our employees, customers, end users and society in every step of our work.
In all our activities, we aim to obtain more value by consuming fewer resources. We work in order to reduce emissions and waste, and to ensure a resource efficient use of energy. All OYAK subsidiaries share this goal of efficiency and environmental responsibility.
Research & Development
As the innovation pioneer on the PVC additive market, research and development play a crucial role in the success of our company. Our R&D professionals and our technical staff are constantly developing new products, fine-tuning existing ones and improving our overall product range. This innovative knowledge and our global research findings are pooled at laboratories in Austria and Turkey. These, combined with our labs in different operation sites, allow us to develop new for-mulations and modify existing products in order to better serve our customers. In addition to our own in-house research activities, we also work closely with leading universities, promoting the presence of our employees in the scientific community and fostering the global exchange of experiences among our staff.
Environmental Sustainability
Akdeniz Chemson is a member of various national and international industrial organisations including VinylPlus, German AGPU, British Plastics Federation, US Plastics and the Natural Step. In line with international developments, Akdeniz Chemson supports the wide-spread adoption of environmental awareness in employees, suppliers and sub-contractors.
